FLIGHT CULTURE’S ALPINE ELEMENTARY PARAGLIDING

25-31 AUGUST 2019

ABOUT THE COURSE

Flight Culture will be running an Alpine flying course in Le Grand-Bornand at La Ferme Du Soleil. It’s about an hour from Geneva so flights are inexpensive and transfers are easy.

THE FLYING

The Elementary Paragliding course is a beginner’s paragliding course. This 5 day course will teach you the basics of how to fly! Once completed you will have your Elementary Pilot award under the BHPA (British Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association). This course will take you from ground handling to your first high flights, a truly unique and unforgettable feeling.

Le Grand Bornand is a beautiful site with consistent weather. It has hosted the World Championships, hosts the French Championship and Belgian Open in 2019 and will host the British Open in 2020. Lake Annecy the global epicentre of paragliding is also just a short drive away.

This is very definitely a flying trip but will also be outstanding for non-flying friends or partners. John has lived in the Alps for 10 years and the summers are really incredible. There is just so much to do besides the paragliding: hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, paddle boarding, via ferrata, climbing, or simply relaxing by the pool in the village or on the balcony of the chalet. There is a weekly market in the village where the stallholders sell local Savoie meats and cheeses and it is definitely worth a visit.

DATES: 25-31 AUGUST 2019 (arrival on 25th, flying starts 26th)

PRICES: £965 (includes tuition, equipment rental, accommodation and meals), £475 (non flying partners or friends, accommodation and meals)

You will have breakfast provided every morning and dinner every night except one, when we’ll go out to eat.
