Summer Activities & Outdoor Pursuits
We have great fun in the summer. There are many different things to do around Le Grand Bornand, Thones, Megeve, Annecy and Geneva.
The pictures show paragliding (parapente in French), ballooning, sailing a catamaran on Lake Annecy, tree-climbing, a nunnery at the end of a wonderful mountain walk, the "cascade mysteriouse" on the walk to Grand Bornand below the house, the swimming pool above the clouds, tennis in Grand Bornand, trampolining, a safe version of rock climbing: the "via ferrata", Grand Bornand's outdoor market and a local fair.
But there are lots of other things to do including mountain biking, hiking, golf, white water rafting, go karting, rock climbing, walking, visiting the local mountain restaurants for lunch, searching for marmottes and bouquetin and so on.
