Accommodation at La Ferme du Soleil

On the ground floor, there are beds for eight people: two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. Each has its own bathroom, three of which are en-suite. Downstairs, there is a family unit with a double bedroom and a small, second bedroom with two bunk beds. These share a bathroom.

Upstairs, there is a huge salon with an open central fireplace (the type traditionally used for smoking ham). This is cosy in the evening and opens by day on to sunny balconies with crows' nest views of the Alps. The salon is divided by the open fire into areas. One has a televsion, DVD and sound system. Another, a table where one of the large collection of games can be played. There is a small library of books for those who want a quiet moment. There is also a further sitting area with a view over the valley, next to the dining area, which is close to the kitchen.

Arriving, there is a ski storage area, just inside the house. We have also created an internet area where you can access your email. WiFi/broadband is available.

In summer, there is an outside swimming pool available for use, just below the house.

Support

A friendly and resourceful couple will help to make your stay comfortable in winter. They manage the catering using mostly local produce and creating regional dishes. (The farmer next door makes Reblochon cheese.)

They can help you plan your visit for maximum enjoyment, find guides for expeditions, ski schools, days trips and so on. They will even help with the children if this is arranged in advance.
